On 20 November, the table tennis Fukuoka Finals continued with Chinese table tennis world champion Wang Yidi taking the court against Chinese Taipei world runner-up Zheng Yijing. Although Wang Yidi, who had won five consecutive matches without a loss, encountered some difficulties, she finally won 3-1, thus getting the second ticket to the women’s singles quarter-finals after her teammate Qian Tianyi (who won 3-0 against Diaz), and the Chinese table tennis team won two consecutive matches in a row. Wang Yidi and Zheng Yijing are both currently ranked in the top ten in the world, with the former at number three and the latter at number nine, and both have achieved good results in singles events at the World Championships, with Wang Yidi being the third runner-up at the World Championships, and Zheng Yijing winning the silver and bronze medals at the World Cup.<\/p>

However, in the previous five meetings, Wang Yidi has won all of her matches against Zheng Yijing, and has shut out her opponent on four occasions.
