data-start=\"806\" data-end=\"888\">His mother donated the <strong data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"847\">Swaythling Cup<\/strong> for the men&#8217;s team world championship.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"889\" data-end=\"1048\"><p data-start=\"891\" data-end=\"1048\">Promoted table tennis in developing nations and broke Cold War taboos by inviting <strong data-start=\"973\" data-end=\"986\">New China<\/strong> to the World Championships\u2014an early sign of sports diplomacy.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
