On August 26 (Beijing Time), the ITTF released the Week 35 World Rankings. Lin Shidong and Sun Yingsha remain firmly at the top of men’s and women’s singles. Sun now holds 12,200 points, a massive 4,300-point lead over No.2 Wang Manyu. Fresh off his WTT European Grand Smash (Sweden) triumph, Truls Moregard climbs to World No.5 in men’s singles. Rising star Chen Yi breaks into the Top 8 for the first time, while teammate Shi Xunyao moves up to No.11.
This week’s changes mainly come from the WTT European Grand Smash (Sweden), as well as fresh points from the WTT Panagyurishte Contender and WTT European Youth Grand Smash, alongside expired points from last year’s Lima Contender and Olomouc Feeder.
