Latest ITTF World Rankings Released! Zhu Yuling & Chen Yi Break Into Top 10, Wang Chuqin Nears No. 1, Kuai Man Reaches Career High

On July 15, the ITTF released the Week 29 World Rankings for 2025. For the first time in a while, the women’s singles top 10 has welcomed new faces. Fresh off her victory at the WTT Grand Smash USA, Zhu Yuling surged past players like Miwa Harimoto to return to the top 10. Runner-up Chen Yi also broke into the elite group for the first time, while Wang Chuqin, who won the men’s singles title in the U.S., is now within striking distance of current world No. 1 Lin Shidong. Meanwhile, Kuai Man hit a new career-high, while Lin Gaoyuan and Wang Yidi dropped in the rankings. Full details below.

💥 Grand Smash USA Shakes Up the Rankings

The WTT Grand Smash is one of the three highest-ranking events in table tennis, on par with the Olympics and World Championships, and more significant than the World Cup in terms of ranking points. Unsurprisingly, the latest edition in the U.S. had a major impact on the rankings—especially with a number of upsets in the women’s singles.

Zhu Yuling, previously ranked No. 14, delivered a brilliant run in the tournament, defeating Wang Manyu, Shin Yubin, Mima Ito, and Chen Yi to win the women’s singles title. She now climbs to world No. 6, a big step toward her former No. 1 status. Currently, she is the highest-ranked non-Chinese women’s player in the world.

🌟 Rising Stars: Chen Yi & Kuai Man Reach New Heights

Young star Chen Yi, who beat Sun Yingsha, Hina Hayata, and Kuai Man en route to the final, made a massive leap from No. 17 to No. 10—her first time entering the top 10. Her peer, Kuai Man, also saw a major boost, now sitting at world No. 4, both athletes setting new career-best rankings.
