Harimoto Miwa won the championship! Won 6 matches in a row, lost only 1 game, and hung on to beat the Japanese women’s junior players!

On January 24th, the first All Japan Table Tennis Championships title was crowned – Harimoto Miwa swept MENDE Rin 3-0 in the final match of the Junior Women’s Singles, successfully reaching the top and defending her title in this event. She also defended her title in the program, losing only one set in six matches.

According to the arrangement, Harimoto Miwa will also participate in the Women’s Singles and Women’s Doubles events in the regular group, and has every chance to win two more gold medals: although she was beaten by Sun Yingsha 11-0 not long ago, Harimoto Miwa is really unbeatable in her age group, and can’t be defended against!

Winning The Championship

This All Japan Table Tennis Championships Harimoto Miwa has entered three events, namely Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles, and Junior Women’s Singles, and it can be said that all three are the biggest favorites to win the championships, especially in the Junior Division, the gap between the Japanese stars and Harimoto Miwa is too big, no one was able to win against her in the last edition, and a year later Harimoto Miwa is even stronger, and that’s even more difficult to win. It’s even harder to be out of the cold.

When the match started, Harimoto Miwa’s first opponent was Mika Matsushima, who is only 10 years old but is considered by many fans as the leader of the newer generation of Japanese women’s ping pong players. However, she is no match for Harimoto Miwa now, and immediately lost 5-11, 6-11, 6-11 in a row to crash out of the match.

Harimoto Miwa’s next four opponents were not very strong, and all of them were swept 0-3.

It wasn’t until the semifinals that Harimoto Miwa finally hit a rough patch, dropping a 6-11 set against Akane Uesawa, and thus not being able to shut out her opponent. However, Harimoto Miwa was soon able to recover, winning three games in a row, 11-5, 11-3, 11-7, and advancing to the final round.

Winning the Championship Summary

The final Harimoto Miwa’s opponent was not bad, that is, Rin Nozomu, who has defeated China and Japan as well as other associations’ juniors many times in international junior tournaments in recent years, and as a result, the opponent didn’t create too much of a threat to her, and then also swept 3-11, 5-11, 9-11, Harimoto Miwa successfully defended her title, almost unilaterally hanging all her opponents, which was not challenging at all.

At present, it seems that Harimoto Miwa is already a one-of-a-kind existence in her own age group, not to mention Japan, no one in the entire world women’s ping pong range can challenge her, so what kind of results can she achieve in the competition of the adult group?

Let’s continue to wait and see what happens in the Japanese National Championships!
