The table tennis T-League was in full swing, and on 9 March Beijing time, the Japanese No.1 Harimoto Tomokazu, representing Ryukyu Club, won a big match, blasting 3-0 against Okayama Club’s No.1 starter, 41-year-old former Chinese table tennis World Champion Hao Shuai, and also beating Kazuhi Yoshiyama 1-0 (in a special match format), leading his team to a close 3-2 win on the aggregate.
As for the likes of Miwa Harimoto and Miyu Hirano, they also had some difficulties in the match but ultimately refused to be caught cold, helping the Kanagawa club to a 3-1 reversal against the Nagoya club, see below for more details.
As those who follow the ping pong scene know, the WTT Chongqing Championships are about to kick off on 11 March, and a number of Japan’s main players have already qualified for the tournament, but as the T-League season is about to come to an end in March, they will still have to be dedicated to take up the role of a labourer domestically, in a bid to help their hosts reach the finals and shock the champions at the last minute.
The Ryukyu club led by Harimoto Tomokazu is currently leading the men’s team standings, and they had a tough match against the previous runners-up, Okayama, on 9 March, which ended in a five-set match.

The match started with Ryukyu’s Daito Shinozuka/Sa Suzuki losing 0-2 to Hao Shuai/Tian Timing, then Harimoto Tomokazu beat Hao Shuai 3-0 by a big margin, but then Daito Shinozuka dropped another point to Kazuhi Yoshiyama 2-3, and then Harimoto Tomokazu took down Ruiqi Wakagawa in the fourth set 3-0, and then Harimoto Tomokazu took the tie-break in one set with the special system of deciding the set by a margin of 2 points (11-9), 1-0 to Kazuhi Yoshiyama. 0 to take down Kazuyuki Yoshiyama.
It is worth mentioning that Harimoto Tomokazu has already played with Hao Shuai many times, winning more and losing less, and even once a single set boom 11-0 defeat each other, in the ball road more restrain this senior, many fans can not help but feel: really boxing fear less strong!

Women’s team Kanagawa club although also suffered the opening black, the first set of Miyu Kihara / Nagasaki Miyuzu 1-2 defeat Nagoya’s Ando Minami / Kimura Kasumi, but then three sets to achieve a reversal, in which Miho Zhangmoto 3-1 victory over Eugenia Namba, Miyu Hirano 3-1 victory over Ando Minami, Miyu Kihara 3-0 victory in the Koi Salt Yukina, and thus the total score of 3-1 defeat opponents.
The landscape of the T-League women’s team has changed considerably this year, however, with Nippon Paint Club, led by Satsuki Oto, already top of the table, and five-time champions Nippon Life Club potentially battling one-time gold medallist Kanagawa for the right to play in the final.
