In the early morning of November 8, the table tennis WTT Frankfurt Championships continued, Chinese table tennis world champion Wang Yidi appeared on the stage, to face the Romanian world runner-up Samara, the result Wang Yidi played bravely, blasting 3-0 victory, and thus easily eliminated their opponents to advance to the women’s singles quarterfinals, and then will be competing with the South Korean table tennis team first sister Shen Yubin for the semifinals qualification, see below for more details about the battle.
Match highlights
Wang Yidi is one of the top five mainstays of the Chinese table tennis team. Although her performance in foreign matches is not too stable, she is mainly a disadvantage against Asian players such as Japan, and still has a certain advantage against European athletes.
As for Samara, she used to be the runner-up of the women’s singles in the World Cup, but now she is already a 35-year-old veteran, and her condition is not as good as before. Although she had a high moment of defeating Chen Meng last year, she lost to other athletes very soon, and she can only get cold once in a while, and it’s hard for her to keep on powering up, so she is generally regarded as difficult to beat Wang Yidi to advance.
