Wang Man Yu’s old partner Kanak is back in the game! Previously banned for up to a year for a doping control violation

In the recently concluded WTT Otosek feeder tournament, many fans noticed a familiar but unfamiliar name, that is, the former star of hope, and Wang Manyu together in the World Table Tennis Championships Mixed Doubles program, but has been in the tournament “disappeared” for more than a year in the United States men’s table tennis No. 1 Kanak.
Prior to this, Kanak was completely banned for violating the rules of doping control, and only recently began to return to the field, but the result was eliminated in the second round of the tournament after only two games, quite a feeling that things have changed.

Kanak, who was born in 2000, used to be a tough player in the table tennis world. Although he is not old, he has been famous for a long time, once beating Chinese table tennis player Lin Yunru, winning the bronze medal in the men’s singles of the Youth Olympic Games, and then making it to the top eight of the men’s singles of the World Table Tennis Championships, and then getting the opportunity to cooperate with Chinese table tennis team mainstay Wang Manyu and participate in the mixed doubles event of the World Table Tennis Championships in Houston together in 2021, thus becoming a witness of the friendship between China and the United States.
However, all these aura disappeared at the end of 2022, because in that year, Kanak was suddenly revealed a shocking news to fans, that is, he was “completely blocked”, banned from participating in all kinds of competitions, and the reason is related to doping.

According to Kanak himself and many other sources, he missed three USADA tests in the 12 months prior to the incident, and as a result, he has been banned from all competitions, which is very rare in the table tennis world.
As we all know, table tennis is a very demanding sport, but it is also a very delicate sport, extremely sensitive to in-table control, spin changes, etc. It is usually rarely associated with doping, and naturally, few people will be banned for this reason, and Kanak has been “hit” as a result.

It’s still unclear why Kanak missed the three tests, but he’s already back to normal play, but his form must have plummeted after such a long absence – he was ranked 22nd in the men’s singles at the end of his ban, and now he has no world ranking, so he’ll have to start all over again.
For Kanak, to be able to catch the Paris Olympics before the start of the return to the field has been considered fortunate, but with his current performance, I’m afraid it is not easy to get the Olympic qualification, so let’s take a step forward and see what happens!
